Kundalia dam
Kundalia major irrigation project has been constructed on the Kalisindh River between District Rajgarh and District Agar-Malwa in Madhya Pradesh. The approved cost of the project is Rs. 3448.00 crores. This project proposes to irrigate 419 villages with new technology like drip, sprinkler etc. in a total area of 1,30,639 hectare Rabi in Sarangpur, Khilchipur and Jeerapur of Rajgarh district and Nalkheda and Susner blocks in Agar-Malwa district. The construction work of Kundalia Dam has been completed in 12/2018. 11 numbers of radial gates of 12X17m size have been constructed for drainage of the reservoir. Through this project, by laying underground pipe lines, water will be supplied to the farmer’s farm (one hectare) by providing water at high pressure through micro-irrigation. Micro irrigation of 67,591 hectares of total land of 63 villages of Susner and Nalkheda blocks of Agar-Malwa district, 63,548 hectares of land in Jeerapur and Sarangpur blocks of Rajgarh district and 67,091 in Sarangpur block, proposed date of completion of construction work is 04/2021.
