National Informatics Centre, Department of Information Technology, Government of India is a premier organization in the field of Information Technology (IT) in India. The satellite-based nation-wide computer- communication network of NIC, called NICNET, with over 1900 nodes is connecting the national capital, the state capitals and district headquarters to one another.

NIC, Rajgarh District Unit was established in 1987 under the Planning Commission and in the year 2000 it came under the newly formed Ministry of Communication & Information Technology. The Unit is providing effective Informatics support to the District administration and Judiciary of the District rajgarh. NIC rajgarh has been playing a catalytic roll in prompt IT Culture for effective governance at the District level.
Since its establishment, NIC,Rajgarh District Unit has been involved in promoting IT culture mainly in the Government Offices Need based Software Development and technical support are the main activities of NIC
